As the flagship activity of Peninsula Arts Inc., the Harbourview Sculpture Trail is produced and delivered by a committee of volunteer members and contractors. A portion of funds raised from the Harbourview Sculpture Trail activity are committed toward the sustainability of the biennial event, with the remainder invested for the broader mission of Peninsula Arts; such as funding support for emerging and established artists and the commissioning and installation of public artworks in the longer term.

Harbourview Sculpture Trail 2012
The inaugural Harbourview Sculpture Trail was produced by Leigh Ogier, Graeme Smith and curator Sally Lush – with the support of the Te Atatu Business Association. Developed in four short months, the outdoor art exhibition was designed as a ‘Journey of Discovery’, introducing visitors to original artworks in / and relating to a largely unknown location. The event was well received with reviews from the 3,000+ visitors encouraging its return. All proceeds of the 2102 Trail were donated to Hospice West Auckland.
Harbourview Sculpture Trail 2014
Developing on the success of the debut event, a local committee formed to assist in the production of the second biennial Harbourview Sculpture Trail. Encouraging artists to maintain site-specific principles to their submissions, 50 exceptional artworks were settled in to the salt marsh location – this year receiving over 13,000 visitors and selling a record 1/3 of artworks on display.
