Another of the collaborative projects produced by the Collective, the inaugural Great Te Atatu Photo Bomb was an open community exhibition of photography – with participants invited to submit photography that followed the open brief of “Te Atatu”.
The call for submissions resulted in an incremental installation at the newly opened Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre.

With support from the Henderson Massey Local Board and the Te Atatu Peninsula Library, the exhibit featured over 120 photographs from contributors that ranged between the ages of 11-87. The exhibition presented works from novice to professional photographers in a variety of finishes from framed canvasses & prints found at flea markets, to home computer prints.
With its grand reveal taking place at the local Te Atatu Peninsula Community Fun Day, the public voted on their favourite piece – promoting engagement in the activity and a great sense of pride and identity for those who took part.
